Community Cultural Awareness Training (CAT)
MRC North delivers professional development cultural awareness training to companies, organisations, businesses and community groups. This training supports greater cultural awareness and understanding and subsequently improves the experience of migrants in our community.
The Cultural Awareness Training (CAT) Program enables participants to:
- develop greater understanding of Australia’s humanitarian program and the people who arrive in Launceston,
- work equitably with people who arrive under Australia’s humanitarian program,
- gain confidence in accessing and working with interpreters, and
- help confront some of the contemporary challenges faced by people resettling in Launceston.
