Our Mission:

We aim to provide relevant services and resources to promote the benefit and well being of humanitarian and migrant entrants to Tasmania, particularly those who are vulnerable or disadvantaged.

Our Services:

The MRC provides a range of arrival, settlement and integration services for migrants & refugees from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. These include:

  • humanitarian settlement services 
  • individual client support
  • community development
  • cross-cultural awareness training
  • immigration advice and assistance

65th Chin National Day
Yesterday, 20th February, 2013, the Chin community of Launceston celebrated the 65th Chin National Day.

The Volunteer Tutoring Program
The MRC runs a Tutoring Program for high school and college aged young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds on weekday afternoons.

The Andrews Family tell their story of their new life in Tasmania
and share their day becoming Australian Citizens.
